The winning photos of the China International Press Photo Contest and the “Zoom-in on Poverty” Global Photo Contest are being exhibited at Times Square, Causeway Bay from 23 to 29 April 2012. Nikon fully supports the photo exhibition, which is organized by the XinHua News Agency.

China International Press Photo Contest is an annual photo contest organized by China Photojournalists Society. It provides a platform where photojournalists and photographers around the world get to show their works and exchange ideas. Since its launch in 2005, the China International Press Photo Contest has been centered on the motto of peace and development. Experts in the field of press photography were invited to select the winners from press photos that are taken and published in the past year by photojournalists and photographers worldwide.

The “Zoom-in on Poverty” Global Photo Contest is a global public welfare campaign co-organized by the XinHua News Agency and United Nations Development Program (UNDP). The “Zoom-in on Poverty” Global Photo Contest was held in Beijing in 2011. The competition was aimed at refocusing the world’s attention on poverty and seeking support from the world community in the fight against poverty through the compelling photos.
